“Paayum Puli” is a movie based on gangsters involved in extortion and killing businessmen. The movie starts with killing a sincere Policeman. Vishal who comes as Jayaseelan, an Assistant Commissioner of Police works undercover and makes out few unofficial encounters.

The movie portrays where businessmen are been threatened by a gangster Bhavani who leads with a team of members. In one incident Bhavani surrenders to the Police accepting his extortion profession. Police Department appoints ACP Jayaseelan to work undercover to nab the associates of Bhavani who extorts money from the businessmen and kills the businessmen who fails to pay them.

ACP Jayaseelan in undercover kills the associates of Bhavani one by one! Bhavani who comes out from the prison is being shot dead by Jayaseelan. RK has done the character of a state minister and Samuthirakani has roped in as Vishal’s elder brother.

The second half of the movie moves on Samuthirakani who is the leader of the extortion group. You have to watch the movie to know how Samuthirakani reacts after he understands that Vishal has come to know about his real face.

Vishal as a cop performed well in his characterisation. Soori who comes as police constable and a friend of ACP Jayaseelan entertains the audiences with his timing comedy. Imman’s music with a good BGM tunes the pace of the movie. Though the movie “Paayum Puli” is not been made up to the mark of Suseenthiran – Vishal’s earlier venture “Pandiya Naadu”, this movie keeps the audience engaged. Velraj’s camera handling well supported. Rajeevan’s set design has worked a lot for the song sequences. Antony’s Editing has fine-tuned the output of the movie “Paayum Puli”.

Audiences may feel free to watch “Paayum Puli” without any hesitation.
