Robotix Learning Solutions will provide the teams with all the required technology, machines and training to enable students to build different types of Robots including Humanoids & functional scaled cars from scratch.

Commenting on the IRL and Brain Gym Quiz event, Mr. A. S. Ramana Prasad, Chairman, Robotix Learning Solutions Pvt. Ltd. said, “The response we’ve seen to these unique events like Humanoid Football, Smart Fx Racing & Destination Zero Carbon workshops has been tremendous as we have teams registering from Chennai, Coimbatore, Tirunelvelli, Theni, Bangalore etc and as a way forward, we aim to take the league to Pune for the West Zone & Delhi for the North Zone in the coming years. The Brain Gym Quiz will give the next generation the required skill sets of focus, reasoning, problem solving, logical analysis, higher order thinking etc. – a set of skills that is a high priority for 21st century education. Nurturing youngsters to think creatively would go a long way in creating a strong base for them in their future education and career.”

At the press meet, Ms. Aditi Prasad, Head – Business Development, Robotix Learning Solutions Pvt. Ltd. said, “Events like Smart Fx, DZC, Robotix Humanoid Football etc help us tap into the hidden talents of youngsters giving students a chance to understand their strengths at a crucial point in their lives, education and careers. We had encouraged gender diversity by inviting girls to take part, and the response of girl team applicants this year too like last year is very encouraging. We also notice that girls too show equal enthusiasm to boys in Robotics, and therefore we foresee a huge potential for Indians to play a big role in the future world of robotics.”

Professor Mahesh Panchagnula Faculty Advisor CFI – Center For Innovation @ IIT Madras said “Robotics is integral to our student’s co-curricular activities at IIT Madras. At the Center for Innovation at IIT Madras, our students are actively involved in several robotics related projects and competitions. They work on robotics solutions to real world problems. Even at the college level, we find that students working on these projects are ahead of their peers in terms of being to design and build engineering systems. This is a skill that is critically lacking among our younger citizens and needs to be nurtured right from the school level. Robotics education is an important step in serving this need.”

Mr. A. S. Ramana Prasad, an alumnus of IITM & Governing Council member of CFI @ IITM announced that CFI-IITM Student team would be displaying to the participants of IRL 2013 a totally autonomous group of 5 Humanoid Robots playing Football against each other in an arena. “We at Robotix are proud to show case this super advanced Robotics know how to the participants of IRL 2013 which will go a long way in encouraging students to dream & think of future technologies such as artificial intelligence.”

Mr. Armaan Ebrahim, Ace Indian car racer, unveiled the logo of IRL 2013 at the event. Looking extremely thrilled he said, “I’m proud to be associated with IRL 2013 and fascinated by the talent these students displayed in 2012. A sport of speed and precision, F1 is still in its nascent stages in India. We need to encourage young talent in this sport to put us on the world map at such prestigious events like the F1 Grand Prix. With leagues like IRL, the scenario is definitely going to make a change.”

Mr. A. S. Ramana Prasad, Chairman, Robotix Learning Solutions Pvt. Ltd. announced the launch of its CSR initiative called the IRL-CSR “We at Robotix are extending our support to 10 differently-abled children of both genders by providing robotics learning to them. This will take place during the annual holidays by conducting a training camp.”

Mr Nathan CEO of Bala Vidya Mandir & BVM Global added that, “We are very happy to offer a platform like the IRL CSR to support differently-abled children with robotics learning. The process of identifying these children is on and we look forward to bringing a change to the lives of these young bright minds.”

The IRL and Brain Gym Quiz Learning & competition sessions will culminate in a Grand Finale that will be held on December 30th, 2013 at the IIT Madras campus. Teams will compete with each other in a battle of skills where their designs will be put to the ultimate test of endurance. 350 teams will race & compete their Robots such as a Humanoid in a Football match, race their RC electric cars in a Smart Fx event, race their Hydrogen Fuel cell green cars in the Destination Zero Carbon event etc and where their Robotic creations will be put to the final test. Teams will battle it out, twist their left and right brains in an exciting Brain Gym Quiz challenge.

Further, Ms. Aditi Prasad, said, “Winners of DZC 2012 travelled to Singapore and won the International DZC competition & award bringing proud laurels to India. IRL 2013 too will see the winners travel to Singapore & battle it out in the International DZC event. IRL 2013 will see many exciting awards to be given to the various teams in the different competitions.”

Robotics is a brand new approach to learning that merges knowledge with fun. It is an effective way for students to learn STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) in a more interesting and innovative manner. It encourages the students to use their imagination towards generating new ideas. The hand on program enables students to experiment with Creative software and robotics and be exposed additionally to the basics of ICT, Space Science, Astronomy and Mechatronics. All this is enabled by highly qualified teachers and backed by a state-of-the-art curriculum to focus on a practical and application oriented approach to learning. Since 2009, Robotix has been engaged in teaching robotics to over 5000 school students every year.

Meritus believes that learning does not stop with academics. Mynd Works is a stress-free and fun-filled programme aimed at increasing your child’s IQ, analytical skills, cognitive bandwidth, innovative and creative skills.
