In the sterilization ward of a Srivaikundam Government Hospital in Thoothukudi district, women undergoing surgery are facing significant inconvenience due to the lack of an attached restroom. The ward, which has four beds, does not have a dedicated restroom for these patients. As a result, women who have just undergone surgery are forced to walk a long distance to access restroom facilities, causing discomfort and potential health risks.
The authorities of the Srivaikundam Government Hospital, District Collector, District Health Department, State Health Secretary and the State Health Minister, are urged to take immediate action to provide adequate restroom facilities and improve the overall conditions for patients.
