Chennai witnessed a series of shocking chain-snatching incidents early this morning, leaving the public in fear. Between 6 AM and 7 AM, seven separate cases of chain snatching were reported across different areas of the city.

The incidents took place in Thiruvanmiyur, Besant Nagar, Guindy, Saidapet, Velachery and Pallikaranai, creating panic among the residents.
More than 15 sovereigns of gold jewelry were stolen during these incidents, raising concerns about public safety. The police have launched an investigation and increased patrolling in affected areas to catch the culprits.
