Malayalam actor Dileep and his wife, actress Kavya Madhavan, have expanded their food venture with the launch of a new branch of their restaurant ‘Dhe Puttu’ in Anna Nagar, Chennai.
Known for serving traditional Kerala cuisine, Dhe Puttu has established its presence with branches in India and several international locations. The restaurant also operates in Gulf destinations including Dubai, Sharjah, Jeddah and Doha.
The Chennai outlet has been launched with the aim of bringing traditional Kerala flavours to Malayali residents in the city as well as food enthusiasts who enjoy authentic Kerala cuisine.
Producer Gokulam Gopalan attended the inauguration as the chief guest and formally opened the new outlet. The event was attended by several personalities from the Malayalam and Tamil film industries.
Actors Ashokan, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Arjun Ashokan and Riyaz Khan, along with actresses Meena, Sharada, Sheela, Seema, Radhika Sarathkumar, Mirnaa, Poornima Bhagyaraj and Kiki Vijay were among those present. Director Priyadarshan, MLA Leema Rose Martin and several producers, including Kannan Ravi, Siva, Vijayakumar, Ravi Kottarakkara, Seven Arts Vijayakumar, Prince Pictures’ Venkatesh, A.V. Anoop and Mini Studio’s Vinod Kumar, also attended the event.
Singers Rakesh Brahmanandan and Sujatha Mohan, choreographers Kala Master and Sandy Master, stunt directors Kanal Kannan and Mafia Sasi, cinematographer Abinandhan Ramanujan, Dr. Chaithanya and Dr. K. Greesh were among the other notable guests at the launch.
One of the distinctive features of Dhe Puttu is its extensive selection of puttu, with 80 varieties offered at the restaurant. Alongside puttu, the outlet serves a range of traditional Kerala dishes.
The interior of the new Anna Nagar outlet has been designed to reflect Kerala’s cultural heritage and traditional aesthetics. With its wide selection of puttu and Kerala cuisine, the new restaurant is expected to attract food lovers looking for traditional Kerala flavours in Chennai.
