A person wearing white dhoti and white shirt was spotted in a motorbike in mount road at Spencer’s signal. Neighbouring bike riders and car drivers kept peeping at that person since he was wearing a dhoti with AIADMK coloured stripes in it.
The person was difficult to be identified since he was wearing a helmet. At last he bikers and car drivers identified him as D.Jayakumar, Minister of Fisheries, Government of Tamil Nadu.
Public identifying the biker, immediately surrounded him and took selfies with him. When the public questioned him about the reason for his journey in bike, he replied that he had come there for an opening ceremony of a helmet shop. His initiative was to create awareness on helmet among the public. He told the public who surrounded them that as like how mask is much important during this Covid 19 pandemic, it’s really a must to wear helmet while riding or being a pillion rider in a bike.
He also said that in the future, he would keep continuing to ride bike to create awareness on helmet among the general public.
