Chennai Policemen volunteer’s in clearing of fallen trees & lifting flood hit people

Tamil Nadu had been facing severe rainfall for the past two days due to the Nivar Cyclone. This cyclone effect had made many trees fall and canals and road flooded with rain water. Due to this fallen trees and flood many houses have ben flooded with rain water and residents were affected.

Alerted Chennai police went to the flood hit areas and rescued many residents who were stuck in their houses due to flood.

In few areas Chennai policemen had volunteered to clear the fallen trees. In Neelankarai Blue Beach road and Casurino Drive trees fell due to this Nivar cyclone. Police constable Kumaresan and police driver Ramesh who were on regular rounds, noticed this and volunteered to clear it of their own.

In an another incident at Thiruvanmiyur Canal Road, a huge sized tree had fallen. Greater Chennai Corporation workers were engaged in clearing it. Police Sub-Inspector Sekar engaged himself to clear the fallen tree along with the Chennai Corporation workers. Chennai Police Commissioner Maheshkumar Agarwal appreciated the policemen involved in clearing the fallen trees.

Kudos to the Chennai Police and Greater Chennai Corporation workers who were fully involved in clearing the fallen trees.
