Soundarya Rajini Ashwin is the second daughter of actor Rajinikanth. Soundarya did her childhood education in The Ashram Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Velachery, Chennai which is being by her family trust. Soundarya is also the founder and chief executive of Ocher Picture Productions. In 2007, Ocher Studios signed up an agreement with “Warner Bros Entertainment” to partner up in producing and distributing Tamil films. Her debut to be as a director was planned to be “Sultan The Warrior”, a 3D animated film featuring her father Rajinikanth. The project “Sultan The Warrior” was dropped despite heavy pre-production promotion, including a teaser of the film and an interactive website. She instead directed Kochadaiyaan, India’s first motion capture film, with Rajinikanth in the lead role. But the movie failed to succeed in the Box office.
Soundarya is the younger daughter of Rajinikanth and his wife Latha Rajinikanth. Soundarya married Ashwin Ramkumar, an industrialist, on 3rd September 2010 in Chennai. Soundarya and Ashwin have known each other for about four years before their marriage were finalised. Soundarya and Ashwin have a child, a son, Ved and was born on 6 May 2015.
Reliable sources say that Soundarya and Ashwin had been having difference of opinion for a period of few years and tried to manage. Sources add that their relationship went bitter and had decided to part each other. Rajinikanth who was back from US after his kidney transplant visited Soundarya’s house and stayed for few days. It is said that in that period of stay Rajinikanth had tried to pacify Soundarya to go for a compromise. Since fathers pacification was not accepted by Soundarya, Soundarya and Ashwin decided to go for a separation. Reliable sources add that official petition has been filed by both the parties in family court.
One of our journalist spoke with Ashwin Ramkumar to confirm about the separation between him with Soundarya. Ashwin replied as,”No comments and I don’t take these calls”. Ashwin could have either replied yes or no. Since his reply says as”No comments”, the news could be true.
