Latha Rajnikanth wife of Super Star Rajnikanth had signed as a Guarantor for M/s. Mediaone Global Entertainment Ltd, for availing financial assistance from M/s. Ad Bureau Advertising Private Ltd. Since Mediaone Global Entertainment failed to repay the amount and made a double selling of the movie “Kochadaiyaan” which had been earlier sold to M/s. Ad Bureau Advertising Private Ltd.

With regard to it Ad Bureau had filed a case in the Honourable Court seeking justice. Many media had published the news about the issue on their news papers and channels. In the mean time, Latha Rajnikanth had availed an Injunction Order from Bengalore Court restraining Times of India and other 76 persons from not publishing any news about Latha Rajnikanth or their family members. In the affidavit filed by Latha Rajnikanth, a letter printed in a letter head, “The Publishers and Broadcasters Welfare Association of India, Press Club, Bangalore” was submitted.

The letter stated as, “We act on behalf of all the media companies and concerns of India as they are our members. We act for their welfare and protection of their rights in the country. We also act as forwarding agency in respect of news feeds from various persons/entities and disburse it among our members.

One M/s Ad Bureau Advertising Pvt. Limited, No. 781, 1st Floor Royala Towers, Anna Salai, Chindatripet, Opposite LIC Subway, Chennai – 6000 002 has written to us by alleging against you that they were cheated by you in connection with some financial transaction arising out of distribution of Kochadaian cinema and has requested us to forward the news to all our media members.

We thought it wise to seek explanation from your good-self we could circulate the news contents and therefore, we request you to give us details pertaining to the said transaction and matter within 3 days, which would equip us better. Otherwise we shall presume that the allegation is correct and we would pass on the matter for publication.”

Ad Bureau had received confirmation letter from Press Club of Bangalore that “The Publishers and Broadcasters Welfare Association of India” is no way connected with the Press Club of Bangalore and the association is a fake one. Ad Bureau then filed up a police complaint with the Commissioner of Police, Benagluru via Speed Post on 13th January 2015. Ad Bureau had approached the Honourable Magistrate of the 6th Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Bangalore City and had submitted a petition about the fake association named “The Publishers and Broadcasters Welfare Association of India”. The Honourable Magistrate had ordered the Bengaluru Police to submit report about the association.

Bengaluru Police then wrote a letter to the Press Club of Bangalore to know whether “The Publishers and Broadcasters Welfare Association of India” is a genuine association and whether it exists. Press Club of Bangalore also sent a confirmation letter to the Bengaluru Police that the association is now way connected with the Press Club of Bangalore and is a fake one.

Halasurgate Police Station of Bengalure Police who had investigated the issue and have found out that the association named as “The Publishers and Broadcasters Welfare Association of India” is a fake one and have recorded a FIR on Latha Rajnikanth for submitting fake documents as documentary evidence in a Honourable Court. It is said that Latha Rajnikanth has been charged under sections 196 (Using evidence know to be false), 199 (False statement made in declaration which is by law receivable as evidence), 420 (Cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property) and 463 (Whoever makes any false documents or electronic record part of a document or electronic record with intend to cause damage or injury).

Sources say that Bengaluru Police would be visiting Chennai soon to enquire Latha Rajnikanth in regard to the fake document she had submitted in a Honourable Court. Sources also add that Latha Rajnikanth may be taken to Bengaluru for enquiry.
