Today many celebrities are into social websites like Facebook(FB), Twitter and many other. It is very much necessary to be careful for the members being in the social websites as it would even damage the image of the member. Especially celebrities have to be very careful while putting status in such social websites. Few noted celebrities like Ram Gopal Varma are said to be often caught on social websites for putting controversial status which could be offending put in trouble while they post controversial status on social websites which could offend others.
For t and younger brother of Director Venkat Prabhuren for being caught in trouble for posting a photograph in his Facebook status. Premgi Amaren who is a comedy actor is a musician too. He is the son of Music Director Ilayaraja’s younger brother Gangai Amaren and younger brother of Director Venkat Prabhu.
Few days back Kerala Government had ordered closure of Liquor shops in the state of Kerala. On 31st March of 2015 at around 06:53 PM, Premgi Amaren on his FB status has put a photograph of a “Direction & Distance Board” which shows the way to Kottayam in 3 directions with 3 different distances. Sources say that the Board is said to be true and there are three routes for Kottayam from that place. Unknowingly about it Premgi had put a caption “You think maybe it was a good thing they banned alcohol in this state? in the photograph and had posted the same on his Facebook page. This status posted by Premgi has hurt the feelings of the Malayalees.
Many Malayalee members in Facebook have started to put comments for that photograph on Premgi’s FB condemning his act. Many have even abused him for his caption he had put for the photograph. Sources from the comments for Premgi’s FB post say that movies of Premgi could be boycotted or even banned in Kerala. Premgi during addressing the media and also in films use to project himself as an alcohol consumer and comment about it. Would have Premgi been influenced with alcohol while posting such a controversial photograph which has earned a negative feedback from his fans and general public especially Malayalees?
Premgi this is not 80’s where there was poor communication access. It is 2015 and communication technology is advancing and people are very sensitive. Better you be careful while making such sensational comments that could offend a particular Caste, community or language.
Hope Premgi would be cautious while posting any status on social website in the future!
