Sathyabama University celebrated its “Achiever’s Day – 2014” at its auditorium in Sathyabama University on the Old Mahabalipuram Road, Chennai. Colonel. Dr.Jeppiar, Chancellor of Sathyabama University gave the Inaugural Speech. Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Capgemini, iGate, Scope International, NTT Data, RBS, TNQ and Tech Mahindra are the top 10 companies among the total 119 companies who had visited Sathyabama University for recruiting students.
Infosys recruited 200 students, Wipro -141, Cognizant – 132, Capgemini – 54, iGate – 31, Scope International – 22, NTT Data – 19, RBS – 19, TNQ – 17 and Tech Mahindra – 15.
Out of the 1568 students registered, 199 companies visited the University campus for recruitment. As on 25th April 2014, 1142 students (72.83%) have been given placements in various companies on the Achiever’s Day -2014. 390 students have registered their names for Higher Studies.
Messers.M.S.Suriya, Karunanidhi, Krishnamoorthy from Infosys, Mr.Vishwanathan from Sharoon Plywood, Mr.Murali from ACC were invited as Chief Guests for the Achiever’s Day – 2014. The management of Sathyabama University awarded few students with Achievement Awards for the year 2014. The awards were distributed by Dr.Jeppiar and other dignitaries present on the dais. On Department wise for Under Graduate students, 6 students were awarded with cash prize Rs.25, 000/= as First Prize, other 6 students were awarded with cash prize Rs.20,000/= as Second Prize. 6 Post Graduate students have been awarded with cash prize Rs.10, 000/=. 23 students have been awarded with cash prize Rs.10,000/= as Achiever’s Awards and 6 students have been awarded with a cash prize of Rs.15,000/= as Star Excellency Awards.
