Ajith’s “Yennai Arindhal” movie release in crisis:

“Yennai Arindhal” is a movie directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon and starred by Ajith & Trisha in the lead roles. Arun Vijay and Anushka Shetty are doing important roles in the movie. Harris Jayaraj has composed music for the film. The movie has been produced by Ms. Aishwarya. The movie is said to be completed and advertisements showcase that the movie is slotted to released on February 05th 2015.

The movie is said to be produced indirectly by A.M.Rathinam in the banner of Shri Sai Raam Creations which is been owned by Ms. Aishwarya, who is the daughter-in-law of Producer A.M.Rathinam. Sources say that A.M.Rathinam owes a huge amount to be paid to many financiers and film distributors. Hence he would not be able to produce any movies till the debts are been cleared by him. As this is the reason, he would be unable to producer neither in his banner or his son’s banners. This could be the reason for A.M.Rathinam to choose his daughter-in-law’s banner to indirectly produce the film.

The financiers and distributors for whom A.M.Rathinam has to pay are waiting for the right time to get any legal direction to disturb the release in the movie. On the other part the movie faces a trouble where the movie has been quoted for a higher price.

The producers have demanded Rs.38 crore with Minimum Guarantee for Tamil Nadu area alone. But the producers have made a final offer of Rs.30 crore. The reason stated by the distributors is about Gautham Menon’s previous films “Nadunisi Naaygal” and “Neethaane En Ponvasantham” were commercially a very big flop. One more reason said is that the movie has more violence and hence it has been certified as ‘U/A’ by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Distributors complain that the producers are just saying that they are planning to approach the revising committee but the truth is that the movie team is scared whether the movie could be certified as ‘A’ by the revising committee.

The recent releases, ‘I’, ‘Aambala’ and ‘Darling’ are said to be doing well in theaters with a decent collection and that is one reason exhibitors and distributors are not interested to show a higher price for “Yennai Arindhal”. Few exhibitors and distributors when contacted said that the above mentioned three movies are playing fine and they are not very much interested to disturb the generating revenue from it. They suggest that the movie can be released on February 13th 2015.

Few exhibitors and distributors complained that the movie release on 5th February has been planned only by A.M.Rathinam and he is very particular on that day. The exhibitors and distributors suggest that the movie should be released only on Friday which could help them gain revenue on Friday, Saturday and Sunday even if any movie is said to be an average one. They add that if the movie is a block buster, everyone would be safe; if not the major collection expected on Sunday would totally get washed out. Since the movie has been directed by Gautham Menon, the exhibitors and distributors are very scared about the outcome of the film. The only expectation from the producers, distributors and exhibitors that we can easily smell is only ‘Ultimate Star’ Ajiths performance and the opening for the film to be given by his fans and audiences.

Let us wait and see whether the financiers and distributors of A.M.Rathinam are going to disturb the release of the move? Whether the movie is being sent for the revising committee for availing ‘U’ certification? Whether the movie would be released on 5th February or be postponed to a different date?

But everyone hope Gautham Vasudev Menon would have surely utilized Ajith, more than what Ajith fans and the general audience had expected.

Online news websites and social media network are keenly observing every film to post their reviews either instantly or at the earliest before the next show of the movie is to be exhibited.

Let’s wait to watch “Yennai Arindhal”.
