Mediaone Global Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., are the producers of the movie Kochadiyaan. Ad Bureau had provided financial assistance to Mediaone for producing the movie Kochadiyaan and have signed an agreement with Mediaone as post producers for the movie. It is said that Ad Bureau had paid Rs. 10 crores as on an assurance by Mediaone that the theatrical rights for the state of Tamil Nadu for the movie Kochadiyaan would be given to Ad Bureau Advertising Pvt. Ltd, Bhojpuri Satellite Rights and Personal Guarantee of Latha Rajnikanth.
Ad Bureau was approached in April 2014, who entered as post producers and agreed to support the project against a guaranteed share of 12% to be returned by 7th May 2014 before the release of the film.
A further guaranteed share of 5% was offered to release lab letter on 21st May wherein again the same security as mentioned above continued along with the Personal Guarantee of Latha Rajnikanth.
Abirchand Nahar, CMD of Ad Bureau while addressing the media accused the guarantor Latha Rajnikanth, as using fake and bogus letter to get an injunction against Ad Bureau and few other media and publications. Madhubala Nahar, Director of Ad Bureau accused Mediaone for double selling the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of the movie Kochadiyaan.
Abirchand Nahar and Madhubala Nahar claim that Mediaone Global Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., have defaulted many times and the post dated cheques issued by them had bounced many times. They also explained that their principle Rs.10 crores and 2% interest for 7.5 months along with penalty totalled Rs.15.54 crores. They added that Mediaone paid Rs.8.7 crores and an amount of Rs.6.84 crores is still pending unpaid. Since Latha Rajnikanth is the guarantor for Mediaone in this financial transaction, they want Superstar Rajnikanth’s intervention to make Mediaone Global Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., to settle their outstanding due amounting around Rs. 6.84 crores payable to Ad Bureau Advertising Pvt. Ltd.
During the press meet, they played a telephonic conversation of Mrs. Nalini Chidambaram, wife of former Central Minister P. Chidambaram and Madhubala Nahar, where the conversation contains request of time for few days by Nalini Chidambaram to Madhubala Nahar, requesting on behalf of Latha Rajnikanth to settle her dues.
They plead that they believe that Superstar Rajnikanth is not an Hero only on movies and would be a real hero in intervening in this issue to resolve it amicable.
