The audio launch of the film “Nimirndhu Nil” directed by Samuthirakanni and starred by Jayam Ravi, Sarath Kumar, Amala Paul, Nazar, Parotta Soori and others took place today the 11th December 2013 at Sathyam Cinemas, Chennai.
Mr.Rajan, Producer & Actor while addressing the function said that the new movies had been pirated and being let on websites namely Thirutuvcd.com and many. Condemning strongly about the piracy of the new movies, he requested that the Cinema industry and necessary forums should initiate action to eradicate such movie piracy for the betterment of the movie industry.
Director Cheran, while addressing the media said that Rajan had been raising his voice against the piracy of movies through pirated DVD’s and websites. He also said that the voice of Rajan against movie piracy was continuing till date and the persons in the cinema industry were not standing erect (Nimirndhu Nil – meaining in tamil) to eradicate the movie piracy.
Cheran fed –up about the movie piracy finally ended his speech by saying that he would be forced to telecast his movies on websites and other social media in the future if the movie piracy continues.
