“Settai” is a film remade from Hindi “Delhi BellY” to Tamil. Press meet of the film Settai took place in Chennai on 28th of March 2013. The film is directed by Kannan and starred by Arya, Premgi, Santhanam, Hansika Motwani, Anjali, Nazar and others. The film has been produced by UTV Motion Pictures Ltd. Kannan the Director and Dhananjayan, Executive Producer while talking to the media persons confirmed that the film has been completed and has been censored with a clean “U” certificate and has been remade with a taste suitable to the Tamil audience.
It has to be noted that the original hindi version “Delhi Belly” was certifed as “A” since it had few dual meaning words in the film. The director has to be appreciated for his efforts to remake the same film in Tamil without any dual meanings. Kannan said that Santhanam has played a vital role in scripting the comedy.
Arya, Santhanam and Premgi play the role of journalists in the film. Kannan confirmed that this film would be a comedy entertainer and would not hurt the sentiments of anyone. Music for the film is scored by S.S.Thaman. Na.Muthukumar, Thamarai, Karky and Gana Bala have written the lyrics for the film. Cenematography is handled by P.G.Muthiah and Edited by Leo John Paul.
