Charges on “Komban” are baseless, movie is not against any caste – Producer Gnanavelraja:

“Komban” is a movie planned to be released on April 02, 2015. The movie is star casted by Karthi, Rajkiran and Lakshmi Menon in lead roles and been directed by Muthiah. The movie is being produced by S.R.PrakashBabu and S.R.Prabhu of Studio Green and is being released by K.E.Gnanavelraja through Studio Green.

For the past few days everyone would be aware about the controversy going about the movie “Komban”. There were rumours speculating that the movie has been degrading a particular caste with few derogatory dialogues in it. In regard to it, Dr.Krishnaswamy, Leader of “Puthiya Thamizhagam” party had raised objections through press statements, filed complaints with the Central Board of Film Certification(CBFC) and had also filed petition with the judiciary.

The producer of the movie, K.E.Gnanavelraja had today released a statement to the media. In his statement he has said that the recent issues happening for the movie “Komban” has put him in mental agony. He also adds that the movie does not depict or use any dialogue about a particular community or caste. He assures that the movie does not portray complimenting or degrading any particular caste or community.

He has accused that wrong propaganda is being carried out by few people, on their own assumptions which is not true. He adds that once the movie gets released, people would understand the the charges made against the movie “Komban” is baseless.

In his statement, he has said that crores of rupees has been spent for producing this movie and needs support from everyone.
