Velammal Matriculation School attempts for Limca & Guiness Records by Mega Reading Session:

A Mega Reading Session emphasising the need to inculcate the reading habit among the future generations was held today the 31st January, 2015 at Velammal Matriculation Higher secondary school, Mogappair in Chennai. The Mega event was organsised with the objective of young learners – listening to Read, To be better Readers had 1172 students of Std.IX and Std XI reading a story to 1172 Kindergarten children. The occasion was graced by Mrs. Sarasa Ashok, Trainer & Co-founder of Budding Minds International school. The children were motivated through the speech of Sarasa Ashok and a dance that symbolised the first steps in reading.
