CBI files status report on Coalgate probe before SC in a sealed envelope:

Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a report in a sealed envelope as the case pertains to the period between 2006 and 2009, when coal blocks were allocated. CBI in its report filed in the Supreme Court today has said that while they will abide by the apex court’s direction and not share any details of their investigation in coal gate scam.

The companies which were allotted coal blocks were alleged to have not adhered to the set guidelines.

CBI had earlier submitted status report in the court.

In its 12th status report, the court had alleged Congress MP Navin Jindal and former minister Dasari Narayan Rao for manipulating the allocation process. The case is expected to come up for hearing on Wednesday.
