Linguswami’s Poetry & Art Book “Lingu” Release:

Lingu Book Release
ART HOUZ and LINGUSAMY are happy to anounce the success of the launch of the coffee table book “ LINGU ” on occasion of first anniversary of the Art Houz.

“LINGU ”is a coffee table book featuring a collection of Tamizh film maker and poet Linguswamy’s first works of painting captured as photographs, each coupled with one of his poems. His newest work promises to be just as enthralling as his movies, presenting us various aspects and extracts of life and also stands aptly named – Lingu – a slice of the poet, the storyteller, the creator.

Silence – hailed as a virtue and a profound expression of higher thought – is said to speak a thousand words. Then what about a single verse of poetry that can silence a thousand thoughts? A verse of poetry can stir the soul, stun the senses and awaken the mind. Every verse in a poem paints a picture on the mind of the reader where paper becomes canvas, pen becomes paintbrush, ink becomes colours and bottle becomes palette. Then imagine poetry and painting presented side by side! One acting as a visual reinforcement to the other! A perspective beyond dimensions! That’s exactly what LINGU is about, if not more.

Just as Art Houz celebrates a yearlong tryst with diversity , “Lingu” book was released by ace cinematographer P C Sreeram at the Art Houz on June 3rd 2013. The first copy of this book was received by film maker Ameer Sultan.

Mohanlal, P C Sreeram, Harris Jayaraj, GauthamVasudevMenon, Arya, BalajiSakthivel, S J Surya, SollamaleySasi, Kathir, PushpaKandaswamy, Vijay Milton, YuhiSethu, K. Bagyaraj, R.
